Important Clarifications
What Vitalis is not.
Addressing the four most common concerns before they arise.
→Not a drug or alcohol test. Vitalis detects physiological deviation — legally distinct from substance testing. A different consent framework applies and no controlled substances are identified.
→Not a diagnostic or medical device. It is a wellness observation tool — the same legal classification as a fitness tracker or smartwatch. No clinical claims are made.
→Not a disciplinary tool. An amber or red result initiates a manager conversation or secondary check — it does not trigger automatic action. Human judgement remains in the loop.
→Not a biometric database. No face data is stored. Images are processed in real time and discarded. Only the wellness score and anonymised metrics are retained.
